Designed by Roberto Menichetti for Burberry Spring Summer 2001 Collection. This is from the brand's golden era, a time when Roberto Menichetti was responsible for design and manufacturing - going so far as to produce the line at his family atelier in Gubbio, Italy. Thanks to this, items boast the highest quality imaginable with mobility-centric design, experimental fabrics and even hand finishing.
This Spring/Summer 2001 Elongated Biker Jacket is made from a Silk, nylon and elastane blend with a technical texture - soft and stretchy at once. Featuring an ‘integrated belting system’ that allows the wearer to thread a belt to the interior of the jacket to bunch the jacket at the waist, this feature only creates dimples in the outer reflecting its technicality in a subtle minimalist way.
